Dee Davis was recently honored with the New York Chapter of Romance Writers of America’s Golden Apple Award for Author of the Year. Honored at a lovely reception, Dee shared the stage with among others, Chris Keeslar, Editor of the Year, Suz Brockmann, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Deidre Knight, Agent of the Year.
In addition, Dee is excited to announce that she’s now teaching romance writing for the continuing education department at NYU. This six hour seminar is closed for this semester, but check back for information on future classes...

June 2008
Summertime is the perfect time to settle in at the beach with a cold drink and a good book. Recommended Dee Davis reading: Her Last Chance series; Endgame, Enigma and Exposure.

Or for a walk on the paranormal side her time travels: Everything in Its Time, The Promise and Wild Highland Rose.
And there are always Dee’s personal fav’s Just Breathe and Midnight Rain.
And whatever you do, have a wonderful summer!

February 2008
I’m pleased to announce that I’ve just agreed to write a new romantic suspense series for Grand Central Publishing (formerly Warner Books). The series, about an off-the-books black ops division of the CIA, will kick off with back to back books in 2010. Keep checking my website for updates and more information. In the meantime, I’m putting final touches on Set-up in SoHo the second book in the Matchmaker Chronicles from St. Martin’s Griffin Press. You can check out the first book, A Match Made on Madison, by clicking here.

The holidays are upon us. Manhattan is dressed in its finest and Christmas spirit abounds. It snowed yesterday. Just the lightest dusting, but I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of watching the flakes fall past my window. Turns out I’m a winter girl. Who knew? Don’t forget that books make great gifts!
STILL OF THE NIGHT, my holiday suspense novella in the anthology SILENT NIGHT is still available out there. It's a great way to cozy up with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate. Click here to order. Although suspense and Christmas might seem an interesting mix, it is the season for miracles, and that's exactly what Jenny Fitzgerald needs. Click here for an excerpt.
Wishing all of you a wonderful holiday season and a fabulous new year!

Fall
is here and life is grand. Actually, this is my favorite time of year. And, as
icing on the cake, Chain Reaction was
honored recently as a finalist for Best Single Title in the NJ Golden Leaf Awards.
Always feels good to know someone out there likes your work!
Recently attended the New Jersey Put Your Heart in a Book Conference. Was great
to catch up with friends and to hear the latest about the newest trends in the
genre, as well as hear from some of the industry’s brightest stars. Then
on Sunday went to a wonderful luncheon recognizing local booksellers and all that
they do. Without their tireless efforts, many a good book would sit on the bookstore
shelf gathering dust.
Anyway, all in all it was a great conference. And now that I’m home,
and the temperature is falling (finally), it’s the perfect time to curl
up in a cozy spot with a cup of tea and a good book!

August 2007
Just
received copies of the British version of Endgame.
Great fun. Although it looks pretty much the same as the original, the arrival
marks the receipt of my first physical copy of a foreign edition of a Dee Davis
book.
After finishing revisions on next year’s Set-Up in SoHo
am looking forward to a restful vacation in the San Francisco area. My first time
to that part of California. Going to explore, rejuvenate, and catch up on some
reading!

July 2007
If any of you are in Germany or planning a summer trip, the German version
of Match hits book stores this month! High
Heels und Hochzeitkleid is available in German bookstores and online.
Can’t wait to see a copy!

And also upcoming, A Match Made in Madison in Russian,
Portuguese (in Brazil) and Italian!

June 2007
Chain
Reaction hits bookshelves this month. Mia Kearney is the sole survivor of
a nuclear disaster. Certain that authorities are lying about what’s happened,
she sets out on her own to find answers. As the web of deceit tightens around
her, the only person she can trust is Homeland Security agent Nick Pierce. For
more information click here.
Also being released this month, Hell on
Heels, the follow-up to last October’s Hell with the Ladies. Seems the
devil has daughters... Click here to read
more.
